Shaw was lucky not to get a boarding penality right before Oduya made that awesome pass off the boards to Stalberg. If it was any other period than a playoff overtime that would of been called every time.

Konopka was lucky to not get a penalty and his ass kicked for cross checking and driving Toews face into the ice in the Wild crease. Even Steven.

Doesn't seem possible that Minnie could win 4 out of 6 from the Hawks.

Yes I know he is a doucherocket who wouldn't be playing if Pominville wasn't injured. I was just saying if Shaw was called for the penality, the play would of been dead.

If I were a Pens fan I'd be more worried about the concussion Crosby has, that no one is talking about, then another team who won last night.

If Kopnopka would have done that to Crosby, the NHL network would have washed away in a flood of tears.

Thought that , #25 was (other than 19 and 81 - obviously) the Hawks' best foward last night.

His speed created numerous chances in game otherwise dominated by tight checking and muddled play down low. He also used both size and speed to win quite a few puck battles and keep the cycle going. And he FINALLY used that big frame to start laying hits on the forecheck.

A big kudos to Stals this morning, and here's hoping he keeps that high level of play going.

Such is the unpredictability (and beauty) of playoff hockey.

If I were you, I'd worry about the Islanders now, and the Blackhawks in June.

Oh, there was panic...and this board would have exploded in :60 seconds Mission Impossible style if we had lost.

Despite our gaudy record...our m/o is to play a lot of close games and win most of them....that's exactly what we did

Agreed...and who knew Bickell was capable of that sweet forehand/backhand move? Usually he just lets that wrister rip as soon as he can. Nice patience, nice move.

A great 3rd line is huge.

The Hawks have one.

Stahlberg, and to a lesser extent Bickell, are going to get some ridiculous money in Free Agency from somebody this offseason.
